Peter Granqvist and Kajsa Rhodin produced the following film, ‘lēTHēən’ (Lethean), a mood piece about the river of the same name in Greek mythology, the river of forgetfulness. Peter approached me to score a fitting soundtrack for the film, it was an extremely satisfying and creative process working together with him and Kajsa.
The brief was to score a soundtrack that reinforced the following concepts; the juxtaposition of night and day, beauty and ugliness, serenity and menace, whilst supporting elemental concepts of fire, earth, air and water and the cycle of seasons.

Pleased to announce that I’ve teamed up once again with Tim Glover, the American director whose film ‘Esrever’ I scored a few years back. Tim is a fantastic director, very inventive and he always comes up with fascinating stories. His latest film, ‘Cantil’ (working title ‘Antivenom’) is coming out later this year, until then I’ll post the trailer for which I produced the soundtrack for.
Written and Directed by: Tim Glover
Cinematography: Craig Hing
Music: Mark Peter Royce
Starring: Gunnar Anderson, Amira Ali, and Michael Howell
So, after a successful tour of Austrian, German and Swiss cinemas and conventions, the Austrian produced Star Wars fan-film, ‘Regrets of the Past’ is now available to watch online, via Youtube, both in OV and English dubbed versions. Both feature closed captioning subtitles in English, German and Spanish.
The film was entirely produced as a not for profit/ no budget work of fan fiction. The crew consisted of 150 working professionals from the Austrian film industry who supported the project in their spare time and around existing work commitments.
A brief plot synopsis: ‘The story is set after the events that led to the inception of the Galactic Empire (Star Wars – Episode III) and follows the fate of two fugitive Jedi knights. Pursued by a bounty hunter, Pash Sularen and his Padawan Kaila Dain crash on a remote plant and are confronted with their past’.
I composed the music score in it’s entirety, creating ‘Leitmotif’ themes for the principle characters and underscoring the dramatic and action scenes with a nod to John Williams’ orchestral style. Director Bernhard Weber and I decided early in the post production to establish a choir made up of willing members of the crew, resulting in around thirty voices which we recorded in the middle of the soundtrack production. The results subtly underpin the score and I am very satisfied with their hard work.
Working on RotP was an absolute labour of love, indeed it was a childhood dream come true to work on a Star Wars film. I’ve made some great friends working on the film and we’re definitely going to work together again in the future.
As part of my new networking drive, I’ve consolidated my former mandy.com and the (now defunct) creative district profiles with the useful online promotion site offered by those friendly chaps at Film and TV Pro, to help me network with film makers looking for assistance with soundtrack production for their projects.
Their user friendly interface allows for the download of my featured showreel, has a listing feature for present and past projects and is very quick to load. I’ll also update my testimonials there.
FYI, for anyone from the professional film industry interested in joining the network, all you have to do is follow this link to Film and Television Pro to create your own profile. You can also check out my profile here.
A series of film clips from projects I’ve scored and produced soundtracks for, showcasing my approach to film scoring. I like to blend electronic music production with classical orchestration, taking the chance to record real musicians, wherever possible and budget allowing.
